How We Plan a One-Of-A-Kind Special Evening Event for a Multi-Night Incentive Program
Our client wanted each of the three nights to be uniquely themed and customized and the location of the event, influenced us, letting nature take part in the design: marsh, lake, and ocean. Night one: attendees first welcome event after arriving to Sea Island Resort was on “Rainbow Island”. Our client wanted a fun, casual event. Guests arrived via the jeep train to Front Porch Lemonade specialty cocktails, a picture-perfect landscape and fun live entertainment by Southside Station. Custom bars, firepits with Adirondack chair seating areas, accent pillows and string lights that lit up the outdoor area made it easy to enjoy the supper menu that was highlighted by a classic pimiento cheese station, a seafood boil station, pulled pork and cornmeal breaded grouper. Guests could dine outdoors or in the dining pavilion enhanced with Edison bulb clustered lighting. Sonoma Crossback chairs with comfy cushions were selected for ease of seating around the existing picnic tables which we adorned with lovely striped table runners, navy linens and fresh hydrangea floral arrangements in crafty wooden boxes. The night was topped off with delicious dessert stations of specialty tarts, mini maple apple pies and lemon mousse topped with fresh blueberries AND s’mores around the firepits!
Guests expressed that they felt like they were on a movie set between the natural beauty and intricately thought-out décor. The event truly set the tone for the overall program ahead for the guests.
Although we may need to reinvent how we approach events in the future (Post COVID-19), diving deep into our creativity, crafting personal experiences, special moments and long-lasting memories will always be part of our lives as long as we enjoy them safely.
