Creating Unforgettable Finale Nights: A Sweet Georgia Celebration Dinner at The Ocean Room

Event Overview: Memorable Incentive Program Finale Night

The significance of an Incentive Program finale night cannot be overstated; it must meet and exceed client expectations. When I first visited The Ocean Room at The Cloister, I was captivated by its tall, arched windows, unique room shape, and the stunning Sea Island beach views. Envisioning how to blend the resort's genuine warmth into the celebratory event, I wanted the architecture and natural coastal beauty to guide the atmosphere, allowing guests to enjoy the simplicity and elegance of the locale.

Planning the "Sweet Georgia Celebration Dinner"

Our client's enthusiasm for our idea to theme the night as "A Sweet Georgia Celebration Dinner" set the tone. The evening began with oceanfront cocktails and delectable hors d’oeuvres. We chose a soft color palette of blush pink and pale sage green to evoke a peaceful and calm ambiance. Silver lace linens on high and low top tables, paired with specialty lounge furniture, added a touch of softness and relaxed seating to the patio’s natural décor. Mason jar centerpieces, candles, a firepit, and string lighting enhanced the atmosphere’s charm.

Creating an Elegant Ocean Room Setting

We decided on long estate tables with black Chiavari chairs, beige chain linens, soft metallic napkins, and greenery tablescapes accented with soft pink roses for the Ocean Room. This created a warm yet elegant setting. Collaborating with a top-notch catering team, we crafted a mouth-watering seated plated menu featuring she crab chowder, grilled avocado and tomato salad, braised Kobe beef short ribs, and crispy fried lobster tail, all paired with perfectly matched wines.

Sweet Georgia-Themed Dessert Stations

Dessert stations on the patio allowed guests to stretch their legs, extend conversations, and enjoy luxurious desserts at their leisure. Playing off the sweet Georgia theme, treats like peach hand pies with vanilla ice cream, bourbon caramel, warm chocolate sauce, whipped cream, salty caramel corn, and assorted homemade doughnuts provided a delightful end to three incredible days of experiences.

Capturing Memories

To make the event even more memorable, we photographed each incentive winner with their guest at the previous evening’s event. The photos, placed in beautiful, branded frames, were delivered to guests' rooms on the finale night, providing cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

By focusing on every detail and creating a seamless blend of elegance and casual charm, we transformed the finale night into an unforgettable experience at Sea Island Resort.
