Venue Spotlight: Villa Kennedy, Rocco Forte Hotels

Posing with President Kennedy artwork

You may have wondered: why is the hotel named "Villa Kennedy?" Well, when President Kennedy was in Germany to give his famous "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech, he drove down the street outside the hotel on his way from Frankfurt airport and made a stop into the hotel. Briefly after this trip, he was assassinated in Texas, and the street in Germany was renamed Kennedyallee. The hotel followed and the previous name of the Villa Speyer changed to the Villa Kennedy. There's now even a JFK bar inside the hotel.

From the minute I arrived at Villa Kennedy in Frankfurt, I received the highest standard of service as well as a very friendly staff who immediately makes you feel welcome. Built in 1904 as a grand family home, the hotel is very rich with woods, ornate décor, furniture, artwork and more. I arrived early and since my room was not ready yet, I went right to the spa. The spa is comfortable and has everything you could need or wish for. Getting a treatment there was heavenly. The hotel rooms offer simple elegance and are spacious with a fantastic bathroom. The courtyard terrace is a relaxing area for light meals and drinks and transforms into amazing group space for functions. I stayed at the hotel as part of the Rocco Forte IMEX group and experienced a Sicily themed dinner event in this space and it was beautiful as well as delicious. The restaurant and room service was excellent. The head concierge, Timo was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to dining and culture and just a 10-minute drive from Frankfurt Airport. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
