An eleven-hour flight is well worth it when you know you're on your way to Hawaii.
Our journey began on Oahu, where we took a scenic 40-minute drive from the airport to what is now known as The Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay, located on the northernmost tip of the island. We were welcomed by warm hospitality, breathtaking ocean views, and the relaxed spirit that makes Hawaii so memorable.
Once you arrive at Turtle Bay, there is very little reason to leave. The resort offers something for everyone—groups, couples, and families alike. Guests can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, surfing, miles of walking trails, championship golf courses, tennis, horseback riding, spa services, and several dining options, all surrounded by the natural beauty of Oahu's North Shore.
Of course, with a rental car at our disposal, we couldn't resist exploring beyond the resort. We spent time driving along the famous North Shore, stopping to watch surfers tackle the legendary waves. We also visited beautiful Kailua Beach, known for its powder-soft white sand, crystal-clear water, kayaking, windsurfing, and swimming.
Along the way, we enjoyed a classic island lunch at Teddy's Bigger Burgers, explored a local orchid farm, and visited Tropical Farms Macadamia Nuts, where we sampled some of Hawaii's most famous treats while taking in stunning views of the Ko'olau Mountains.
Oahu offered the perfect introduction to paradise. Next stop: Maui.
Aloha!
