Twitter’s New Schedule Tweets

If you’ve been waiting for a way to draft or schedule tweets using Twitter’s web interface, you’re in luck. If you haven’t already signed up, go to to sign up for an advertiser account. Then, you can either select the blue “Compose Tweet” button or go to the new “Creatives” tab and select “Tweets”:

The URL has a more fully featured tweet text box, including options to pay to promote your tweet, and most importantly, to schedule tweets for the future. If you are a busy trade show manager, the ability to post appropriate messages on a pre-determined schedule will make your life easier. Here are a few ideas to schedule around:

  • Remind followers of the official hashtag(s)
  • Create buzz around special events
  • Announcements
  • Share twitter handles of keynote speakers
  • Send alerts about booth demonstrations
  • Thank event sponsors

This isn’t the first tweet-scheduling service, there is Tweetdeck, Buffer, and HootSuite, but it’s the first one directly integrated into Twitter’s main product. You can schedule images too.
